These Stop and Swap Cards covering continuous tenses (present progressive and past progressive) can be used with the whole class. Students mingle and whenever they encounter another student, they talk about their cards and then swap them and continue mingling. 

You can also simply let them wander around class and the students pass them on and talk about them with one or two partners.

Another possibility is to give every group one set of cards. 

There is vocabulary help on the back of the cards so that more challenged students will have the help they need to participate and actually talk in English while the faster students can talk freely about the pictures.
