These exercises are designed to help students get familiar with how to use a dictionary. I realized that students have difficulty finding the correct translation in a dictionary in tests, for example, because they are simply not used to working with a dictionary.

That's why I designed these exercises to give them a headstart in tests. In the formal Hauptschulprüfungen and Realschulprüfungen in Germany, being able to use a dictionary properly can make the difference between two marks. 

My students love working with a dictionary and they had much fun with these exercises.

I didn't include a key because you might have a different dictionary at your school and that might cause confusion among your students when copmaring the results.
