The key words are taken from the I-spy A4 picture/illustration.

I hope you have fun reading, rhyming and learning English with Brown Owl!
Practise key spring & Easter vocabulary with these differentiated wordmats. The wordmats can be used in lots of different ways:1) I spy with my little eye … an Easter basket! (children point at the Easter basket or place their rubber on it, for example). This can also be done as pairwork.2) colour dictation - I spy with my little eye … purple and pink Easter eggs!3) bingo - each child chooses three pictures and places something on them, e.g. counters/glass nuggets. The teacher draws the picture cards at random and once their three have been called, the children shout 'Bingo!'.This can also be played in groups with a bingo master for each group.4) hide the wordcards / flashcards around the room and the children label the pictures themselves = copy-writingDifferentiation: they use a pencil to write the words how they think they are spelt and then find the word cards in the room to check their work.Have fun learning English with Brown Owl!

BINGO is a great game to practise and consolidate vocabulary. It can be played as a class or in small groups with a quizmaster.I have included a set of picture/word cards for the quizmaster to draw at random. If you print two sets, they double up as a game of pairs too.If someone gets three pictures in a row, they shout LINE!If they get all nice pictures, they shout BINGO!I like to embed each word in a sentence so that the children are exposed to as much language as possible. E.g. I can see the Easter Bunny hopping about. The vocabulary in this game also comes up in my Easter I-spy picture and Easter poem.I hope you have fun teaching English with Brown Owl!
