Engage your children with this winter-themed beginning sound activity to help them develop foundational literacy skills.

You can use this activity during small group time, in centers, or for independent or partner practice.

This material focuses on beginning sounds with three different themes: food, animals, and miscellaneous items. You will find one word for each theme for each beginning sound.

Simply print and laminate the cards to start having fun while learning.

If you want to give your students an independent correction option, simply glue the card with the image and the card with the word together (each one facing a different direction). This way, your student can correct their own work by only turning over the card.
