What is an escape room?

Escape rooms are a motivating method for English lessons and other subjects in which students have to solve various puzzles in small groups or individually to find the code to open a treasure chest (or other container). Escape rooms are a great way to organise a fun and meaningful lesson with students on topics such as Easter, Halloween or Christmas. But grammar topics can also be practised and consolidated very well with escape rooms! The advantage is that the concept of an escape room automatically motivates students and makes them open to solving tasks and exercises. You should plan 1-2 school hours to complete the unit.
