This activity combines reading and grammar competence. The fairy tale is a slightly changed version of Little Red Riding Hood and most children will know it. The task is to read, understand, and fill in the correct simple past forms of the verbs and to finish the story at the end. My students love writing different story endings for popular fairy tales and at that age they are still incredibly creative.

The word bank sector will help students to understand the text, even though most will definitely know the story anyway.
