Learning English is not just about learning vocabulary. It's about understanding the vocabulary and using it actively!
I love doing some kind of OWL craft with the children at school after reading one of the 'Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl' picture books.
It makes a nice souvenir of the story and helps them to remember the key word OWL.
1) UPCYCLED OWL
Make an owl out of an old toilet roll (painting, cutting, sticking)
Extension: write a description of your owl
2) ORIGAMI OWL BOOKMARK
I used the tutorial from Red Ted Art: Easy Owl Origami Bookmark Design - Red Ted Art - Make crafting with kids easy & fun)
Extension: paint a tree to stick the owls onto
TIP: use scrap paper for the eyes, beaks and wings
