PETS - English Bundle

The "Pets - English Bundle" is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the topic "pets" in English lessons. It is intended for independent work (e.g. learning stations or learning tables), but individual components can also be used in regular classroom teaching.

The core of the material is the fact cards, which provide information about the different pets. Using the fact cards, students can learn general information and acquire new vocabulary about each animal. In addition, there is a research booklet with tasks related to the fact cards (comprehension questions, vocabulary exercises, etc.). The focus here is on reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition.



Another highlight is the "My Dream Pet – Lapbook"! With this, students can describe their own pet or dream pet. This gives children who don't have a pet the opportunity to talk about one. The finished lapbook can be presented to the class or in small groups, for example. A "Help Card" with useful sentence starters is included to support the children.



In addition, the material includes some fun activities such as Domino, "I Have ...? Who Has ...?" or Matching Pairs. The differentiated clip cards can also be used to reinforce the new vocabulary.



To practise simple dialogues, the Conversation Board Game or the Conversation Cards can be used first, followed by the "Pets Guessing Game". To assist with this, the guessing game includes board materials and a reference sheet with sentence starters and possible answers for the dialogues.

The material also contains 30 Dialogue Cards featuring different pets. These cards allow students to practise dialogues and develop their speaking skills.



The busy picture "At the Pet Shop" is a great way to introduce the topic and can also be used to practise picture descriptions with the students.
