These Stop and Swap Cards can be used with the whole class. It's a fun way to revise the simple past structures.It's suitable for more advanced students, too.

Students mingle and whenever they encounter another student, they talk about their cards and then swap them and continue mingling. 

There are three different patterns so that you can use them up to a class of 30 students. Students can only swap with a student who has the same design. That way, they don't answer the same questions over and over again. 

Another possibility is to give every group/pair one set of cards. 

There is vocabulary help on the back of the cards so that more challenged students will have the help they need to participate and actually talk in English while the faster students can talk freely.
