You need torches for this activity!    

Before the lesson:

• For each student/pair/small group, you need to prepare sentence strips.
• Print the sentence strips on thick paper.
• Take sentence strips 1 and cut out the box. (Do not cut out the individual sentences.)
• Cover all of the sentences with glue.
• Take sentence strips 2 and cut out the box.
• Place sentence strips 2 carefully on top of sentence strips 1. Press firmly.
• Cut out the individual boxes.
• Print out a copy of the student worksheet for each person.

In the lesson: 

• Give each student/pair/small group sentence strips, a torch/torches and a copy of the student worksheet.
• Students shine a torch behind a sentence strip so they can see the sentence.
• They then write that sentence next to the correct picture.
• They continue until they have written all of the sentences.

Alternative:
