What happens when someone uses your photo without permission? Does posting something publicly mean anyone can use it? And who should own an AI-generated version of your face or voice?

Who Owns You Online? is a thought-provoking B2+/C1 lesson that takes students beyond the usual “pros and cons of technology” discussion and into questions that directly affect their lives: consent, privacy, digital identity, AI, ownership and personal rights.

Students gradually build the vocabulary and ideas they need before tackling increasingly complex real-world scenarios. They decide where they would draw the line, challenge one another's reasoning and ultimately create their own Digital Bill of Rights.

The lesson culminates in one forward-looking question:

Ten years from now, what digital right will we be shocked we didn't have in 2026?
