Quizzes are a real attention grabber and expose children to lots of vocabulary. They also improve listening and concentration skills.
What am I?
1. I am little.
2. I am loud.
3. I am yellow.
4. You can ring me.
Solution: I am a bell!
Children can test their knowledge of 15 Christmas words, whilst also practising reading, speaking & listening skills.
Variation 1: The teacher reads the clues one by one to the class.
Variation 2: Partner/group work: A quiz master reads the clues one by one. How fast can your partner/the children guess the word? The first to guess wins the card.
N.B. The vocabulary is taken from my rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl's Christmas in Devon'.
There are two versions included: ink-friendly (white background) and full colour.
