I use this prayer/poem at the beginning of English lessons. I find it important to be actively thankful and grateful for what we have. The first version thanks god for everything. The second version is secular and thanks nature.I introduce the prayer/rhyme with lots of actions (see my instagram reel: Teach rhyme with actions) as it helps the children to internalise and remember the language faster.Once they know the rhyme you can ask the children what they are THANKFUL for today. As an extension activity they can use the template to create a sketchnote poster of what they are thankful for.I have also included a black and white version of the poem for the children to colour in and another version leaves room for them to illustrate it themselves.Have fun reading and rhyming with Brown Owl!
