Learn how to write summer cinquains (Elfchen) using words and phrases from the rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl at the Seashore'.
You could even create posters for a classroom display!
Step 1: Look at the examples and discuss how cinquains are written
Step 2: Sort the words in the table into the correct columns.
Step 3: Colour one word from each column to create a cinquain
Step 4: Choose your favourite two and write them on the next sheet.
Step 5: Come up with your own cinquains using the objects you can see in the book, illustrate and display in the classroom.
You could even type the cinquains up with the Book Creator App!
