Utilisez ces cartes de jeu pour vous entraîner à lire, parler et écouter le vocabulaire clé de la Journée des crêpes, tiré du livre d'images en rimes "Brown Owl and the Pancake Mix", de Rachel Schmidlechner et Nadja Grace Bodner.

Le jeu comprend 24 mots clés.

Comment jouer ?

1) mélanger les cartes

2) distribuer une carte à chaque élève (certains peuvent avoir deux cartes si nécessaire)

3) l'enfant qui a la première carte commence : "J'ai la première carte. Qui a la chouette brune ?"

4) L'enfant qui a la chouette brune sur sa carte continue : "J'ai la chouette brune. Qui a le cousin Geoff ?

et ainsi de suite jusqu'à ce que la dernière carte soit jouée.

Une fois que les enfants ont compris le jeu, ils deviennent de plus en plus rapides. Vous pouvez en faire une compétition en les chronométrant à chaque tour et en essayant d'améliorer leur record.

Use these game cards to practise reading, speaking & listening out for key Pancake Day vocabulary from the rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl and the Pancake Mix', by Rachel Schmidlechner and Nadja Grace Bodner. 

The set includes 24 key words.

How to play:

1) shuffle the cards

2) hand out one card to each pupil (some can have two cards if necessary)

3) the child with the first card begins: "I have got the first card. Who has got Brown Owl?"

4) The child with Brown Owl on their card carries on: "I have got Brown Owl. Who has got Cousin Geoff?"

and so it goes on until the last card is played.

Once the children have got the hang of the game, they get faster and faster. You can turn it into a competition by timing them each round they play and seeing if they can improve on their record.
