This teaching resource is very versatile as it can be used for different purposes and it is suitable for students of all ages and levels.

The material can be used as a game in which students, individually or in groups, choose and justify which is the odd element; the one that does not have something in common with the other three in the series. Answers are not included, as there might be several possible correct answers, as long as the choice justification is coherent.

This material can also work well as a brain break activity to be carried out with the whole class in between different activities or lesson topics, for example. Students get to revise common English vocabulary, and reasoning and argumentation are worked on.
