"Give me 5...“ is a fun and easy warm-up game for English classes. It is an excellent way to engage vocabulary that has already been learnt and to get students motivated.

Implementation:
The game can be played in different ways. It always involves naming 5 words related to a topic. For example:
If the teacher asks "Give me five numbers!" 5 numbers must be named. For example, "Give me five body parts," requires five body parts to be named, and so on.
Game variations:
If the teacher leads the game, either one student can name all 5 words alone or 5 students can name one each. The game can also be played in small groups (Recommend is 2-3 pupils.) Here, for example, one student says "Give me five ..." and the other students take turns answering. In another variation, two larger teams compete against each other (e.g., girls vs boys). The "Give me 5 - cards" can also be used for stop and swap games.
