Animal action dice will diversify your classes, become a great workout or warming up activity and brighten up the 5 minutes remaining until the end of the lesson.
Can be used with toddlers, in primary school and with young teenagers in summer camps or speaking clubs, in the classroom or at the playground. The cubes are strong enough and easy to roll.
How to use:
- have the kids been sitting on the spot for a long time? It's time to stretch their legs! Someone throws the dice and then they all together try to show the action that's been on the dice (chew like a cow/run like a penguin etc). I'm sure it'll be fun!
- play Charades. The leader throws the dice secretly from the others and shows the animal performing a certain action. The rest are trying to guess this "unknown animal". Who guessed right first, becomes the next to show.
- play Pictionary with teens. The leader throws both dice so that the others couldn't see, and tries to draw, other students have to guess. Who guessed first, draws next.
- recall animals / actions. Children take turns throwing the dice and call the animals or read the actions. For more advanced students, you can make them combine pictures with actions into one silly sentence using Present Continuous: e.g. The crocodile is hopping or make true sentences in Present Simple: e.g. The lion doesn't fly.
- roll the dice and make up sentences with can/can't. This activity develops logic. Let the children decide what certain animal can or can't do (The snake can't clap hands. The monkey can climb etc).
Enjoy!

Con estos dos dados se pueden hacer variedad de juegos: yo en mi caso los he usado para hacer Mimics o para hacer el Sonido de los animales o para hacer un Brainstorming y saber si los recuerdan. ¡Muy divertido!
