The material includes a proposal for a unit plan (8 x 45 minutes) as well as suggestions for designing individual lessons, six worksheets, and a set of role cards with language help.

The focus of the unit is twofold:

• the characterization of the protagonist and the analysis of the relationship between mother and daughter;
• the examination of central topics such as the portrayal of teenage love, relationships and the coming-of-age genre.
