Summery of the content
The play describes the events, which led to the realization of the voyage of Christopher Columbus, who wanted to find a new passage to India. It is shown with how much energy and passion Columbus fought to realize his dreams. Some facts, which had no relation to his intentions, finally made his voyage possible, especially the anticipation of the Jews to find a secure homeland or a place of refuge.

Number of rolls and duration of a performance
The script assigns parts to 29 children, if in all scenes the roles are performed by different children. The additional 20 very small sailor roles in the third scene can be combined to only a few larger roles. The duration of a performance is about 30 minutes.
