This is a fun way to practise irregular verbs! The game is played like a classic UNO game, but with some additional tasks.
Whenever a student plays a card, they must say something about the picture—specifically, all three forms of the verb.
You can also use the game to practise the simple past (positive and negative sentences, as well as questions), but keep in mind that the game only covers irregular verbs.
The rules are self-explanatory if you know UNO or other "shedding" games, and my students absolutely love playing it! You can use it with pairs or small groups, and it works perfectly for both fast finishers and students who need extra support. The repetitive structure really helps them remember the verbs.
I’ve also added pictures to reinforce learning, and there’s an alphabetical list (key) included so students can check their answers.
