Retell the story of 'Brown Owl's Birthday Tea' and practise reading key words with these 15cm x 15cm cards. 

TIP: These cards can also be used as flashcards or a giant game of pairs!

Version 1: The teacher tells the children where to program the bee robot to next by reading the story.

Version 2: Once the children get the hang of it, they can tell their partner where to program the robot to next! e.g . I can see the family! Let's visit with Little Jean!

Version 3: The children draw a picture card from the box and send the bee robot to visit that picture card next.

Version 4: I have also created task cards where the children have to programme the bee robot on a certain route.

These task cards are available in picture format (non-readers) or word format (readers).

Furthermore there is a worksheet to write down their code and self check their route. Alternatively they choose their own route and write/draw it in the blank spaces.
