Practise Christmas vocabulary BEFORE or AFTER reading the rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl's Christmas in Devon' by Rachel Schmidlechner and Nadja Grace Bodner.
The coloured versions can be laminated and used as a game in the classroom.
The black and white versions are for the pupils to colour, cut and create themselves.
There are two sets of vocabulary:
Set 1 (key words): bauble, bell, coin, Christmas dinner, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas pudding, crackers, Father Christmas, hedgerow, mince pies, mistletoe, owl-pad, presents, rocks, snow, star, stocking, train, tree, wreath
Set 2 (family members): Brown Owl, Grandpa Boris, Grandma Doris, Cousin Flo, Auntie Emma, Mum, Dad, Little Jean, Uncle Joe, Cousin Geoff, Mabel Mouse
The set of key words is available in four formats:
1 - full colour, picture/picture (non-readers)
2 - full colour, picture/word (readers)
3 - b& w, picture/word
4 - b&w cut and stick or draw your own picture
