Take a look inside the books! How many words can you find? How many words have you learned? What can you see in the background?

These six ABC challenges give children the chance to show off the language they have learned with the 'Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl' books.  

These ABC challenges also generate new language as children are encouraged to look carefully at the illustrations and ask the teacher for any words that they don't know, e.g. What's 'Pokal' in English? (book 1) What's 'Zaun' in English? (book 2) What's 'stricken' in English? (book 3) What's 'Sonnenschirm' in English? (book 4) What's 'Tulpe' in English) (book 5) What's 'Herd' in English? (Book 6)

Alternatively they can practise their dictionary skills and look up words they need independently.
