This resource includes a board with 30 numbers and 30 cards, each featuring the past form of a regular verb. Students must pronounce the verbs correctly (/ɪd/, /t/, or /d/) and can also use them to form sentences in the past simple.

Additionally, we provide an interactive version of the game for use on electronic devices, along with interactive "flip tiles" with audio, allowing students to listen to and repeat the pronunciation of these verbs.

The game can be played in two ways:

1. Traditional Board Game
   Played with counters and dice, students take turns rolling the dice and placing their counter on the corresponding square. They then pick a card, pronounce the verb with the correct -ED ending, and/or form a sentence in the past simple using the verb on the card.
2. Kaboom-Style Game Adaptation
   This version requires the following materials: popsicle sticks, permanent markers or stickers (to write numbers and words), a timer, and a container (e.g. a pencil pot, glass, cup, or small bucket).

• Write the numbers and words on the popsicle sticks or cut out and glue the words onto them.
• Place all the sticks in the container.
• Students play in pairs or teams, taking turns to draw a stick and complete a sentence corresponding to the number.

To make the game more engaging, additional action sticks can be included:

• "Boom" – The student returns all their collected sticks to the container.
• "Super Boom" – Both teams return all their sticks, and the game restarts.
• "Steal 1" – The student steals a stick from the opposing team.
• "Exchange" – Both teams swap one stick.
• "Bonus" – The team keeps the stick and takes another turn.
• "Miss a turn" – The team skips their turn.

The winner is the team or player who has collected the most sticks when time runs out.

For an added challenge, instead of simply counting the sticks, players can total the points on the numbered sticks. The team with the highest score wins.
