This resource consists of a board with 30 numbers and 30 gapped sentences to be conjugated with the appropriate verb tense of the verb in brackets, using the passive voice (verb TO BE + past participle).

On the one hand, this game can be played as a traditional board game with counters and dice. In this case, the students take turns to roll the dice and place the counters on the corresponding square. They then choose the corresponding card and conjugate the verb in brackets using the passive voice. The first player to reach square number 30 will be the winner.

On the other hand, it can be adapted and played following the rules of the game “Kaboom”. In this case, the following supplies will be needed: popsicle sticks, permanent markers or stickers to write the numbers and words, a timer, and a container such as a pencil pot, glass, cup, or small bucket. Firstly, it is necessary to write the numbers and words on the popsicle sticks, or cut and glue the words on them. Then, all the sticks must be placed in the container.

This game can be played in pairs or teams. In turns, each student must take a stick from the container and say the word or make a sentence that corresponds to that number. Apart from the numbers, you will need to add certain words to make the game more entertaining:

• “Kaboom” or “Boom” = The student must return all the sticks they have collected to the container.
• “Super Kaboom” or “Boom” = Both teams must return all the sticks to the container, and the game will start again.
• “Steal 1” = The students will steal a stick from the opposite team.
• “Exchange” = Both teams will exchange a stick.
• “Bonus” = The team will keep the stick and may take another one and play again.
• “Miss a turn” = The team misses their next turn.

The winner of the game will be the team or player who has collected the most sticks when the time runs out.

To make the game more challenging, you can also add the points of the numbers written on the sticks to the total. The winner will be the team with the most points.
