This set of animal puzzles includes vocabulary related to wild and sea animals, there are 23 words in all!!

You get a set with four animals per page, with thin gray lines to guide you where you should cut.

The pictures used are real photographs. They are great to use for preschool, kindergarten, speech therapy, autism, ESL, special education and early intervention.

The 23 animals are: bear, cheetah, camel, octopus, elephant, shark, snake, crab, giraffe, sea turtle, deer, penguin, tiger, fish, crocodile, rhino, sea horse, dolphin, lion, hippo, monkey, kangaroo and whale.

You can use this material in several different ways. You can mix up all the parts and try to put the animals back together, or you can use them to make up crazy animals. You can also show the students half an animal and ask them to guess which one it is. And one of my favourites is giving the students half a puzzle and walking around the classroom while we listen to music. And as we walk past somebody, we switch cards with them. Then when the music stops, the students must try and find the person holding the other half of their animal. When they get together they must shout the animal’s name out loud! They love this part!!
