The Bundle “U.S. Presidential Elections" is a collection of materials on the topic of the presidential elections in the USA. The material is aimed at pupils in grades 7 to 9. The focus of the material is primarily on reading skills and on pupils acquiring knowledge about the presidential elections in the USA, as well as practising appropriate vocabulary.

U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS - Fact Cards + Answer BookletThe fact cards and the answer booklet deal with the presidential elections in the USA and are designed for grades 7-9. Pupils can find all the information they need to complete the answer booklet in the texts on the fact cards. The pupils simply pick the required card and complete the tasks in their booklet. The card is then returned and a new card can be taken. This gives pupils the opportunity to work at their own pace.Printing Instructions - Answer Booklet Please print as a booklet. To do this, select ‘Booklet’ in the printer settings and then print. After printing, the sheets are simply folded in half and stapled together with two staples if desired. Alternatively, the booklet can also be bound with string.

The presentation slide ‘How to become president in the U.S.’ deals with the process and requirements for becoming president in the USA. It can be printed out and handed out to the students or read together on the Smartboard or similar.

The quiz consists of quiz cards on the presidential elections in the USA. The quiz cards are suitable at the end of the series of lessons to test and consolidate the knowledge learnt about the presidential elections in a fun way. The quiz can be done in small groups or with the whole class. One pupil or the teacher asks the questions and the other group members answer. One point can be awarded for each correct answer.

The Guessing Game is a game about the most important vocabulary for the presidential elections in the USA. In the game, the pupils also practise their speaking skills by paraphrasing the vocabulary. Here's how it works: One pupil draws a card and does not show it to the other players. The student describes the word without mentioning the three terms given. The other pupils try to guess the word described. The cards can be used in groups or with the whole class.
