Students will answer these questions and more in this material on adverbs of manner. Firstly students will try to match the adverbs and verbs in a logical way. They can then write all the vocabulary into the recording sheet. For those pupils familiar with Montessori, a symbol is used and for those who are not, there is a recording sheet with the words. Next students will answer some questions about how  they do things. This gives the pupils a chance to practise the vocabulary and to develop their knowledge of word order. Finally the whole class can play a game together. A student takes a card with an action on it and they take an adverb card. They must then mime the action in the manner on the card. E.g. The action card says: You are eating a bowl of spaghetti.  The adverb cards says: angrily. The student must then mime eating a bowl of spaghetti in an angry way. Tha other students have to guess the action and the adverb.
