This bundle includes all the resources you need to teach/learn English with 'Brown Owl at the Seashore', book 4 in the 'Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl' series, by Rachel Schmidlechner and Nadja Grace Bodner.
Use the flashcards and wordcards to teach the key words. Practise the new language with a BeeBot activity, dominoes, game of pairs, a quiz, wordsearch, ABC challenge, differentiated worksheets and more.
There are two sets of key words. Set 1 inlcudes all the words beginning with the letter 's', e.g. sandcastle, sunglasses, seagull, sun cream etc. Set 2 includes all other key words from the story.
Have fun reading and rhyming with Brown Owl!
This BINGO game is a great way to practise and consolidate summer vocabulary. The key words are taken from my rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl at the Seashore'.It can be played as a class or in small groups with a quizmaster.I have included a set of picture/word cards for the quizmaster to draw at random. If you print two sets, they double up as a game of pairs too.If someone gets three pictures in a row, they shout LINE!If they get all nine pictures, they shout BINGO!I like to embed each word in a sentence so that the children are exposed to as much language as possible. E.g. I can see a cheeky seagull. I can see shells and stones on the sand. Brown Owl is building a sandcastle.TIP: Use phrases and sentences directly from the book.I hope you have fun teaching English with Brown Owl!For more info about my series of rhyming picture books please visit:www.readandrhyme.at

Simon Says is a popular total physical game that helps children to internalise language by connecting it to an action.Furthermore, they have to listen carefully to see if they should do the action or not.For example, if the teacher says: "Simon says, you are eating an ice cream", the children should depict this with an action. If however, the teacher only says: "You are eating an ice cream!", the children should stand still. Anyone who does the action is out and has to sit down. Before playing the game, practise the language and actions with the children. The game cards also have pictures on them, which aid comprehension.Once children get the hang of the game, a pupil can come out and be a teacher clone. The game can also be played in small groups. The vocabulary I have chosen for this summer edition comes up in my rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl at the Seashore'.If you would like to know more about my series of Brown Owl rhyming picture books, please visit: readandrhyme.atI hope you have fun reading, rhyming & learning English with Brown Owl!

There are many different ways to use this spotter's list.Traditionally you take it with you on holiday at the beach and see what you can spot.Version 1: read and colour/cross off the objects that you seeVersion 2: read and count how many times you see each objectVersion 3: colour what you seeVersion 4: read and draw what you have seenHowever, not everyone spends their holidays at the seaside. In which case, you can use the spotter's list in conjunction with my rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl at the Seashore'.It's a great way to practise key words that have come up in the story.Whilst/after reading the picture book, children can go back and tick off/colour in/draw or count what they have seen.Have fun reading and rhyming with Brown Owl!For more information about my rhyming picture books visit:www.readandrhyme.at
