This mega bundle includes ALL the resources and worksheets I have created so far to use with my rhyming English children's book 'Brown Owl'.
Teach English to 6-10 year-olds with the 'Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl' series by Rachel Schmidlechner and Nadja Grace Bodner.
This bundle includes pre-, whilst- and post-reading activities.

Playing games allows children to PRACTISE language in a fun and relaxed environment.The key words to practise from the story are: Cat (in a hat), Fox (in a box), Dog (in the fog), Mum (in the sun), Dad (on a lily pad), Little Jean (by the stream), Granny Grace (in a race), Grampy Grump (on a stump), Brown OwlThis activity can be used as a filler, a station activity , for early finishers etc. The game itself does not last long but the pupils will enjoy it so much that they play it over and over again!Why not laminate the sheet so that it can be reused? Or children can place different coloured glass nuggets down instead of drawing OXO.By playing a game of tic tac toe / noughts and crosses, children have to USE the new language and tactics to win the game.They are in control of the level of language they use.E.g. This BINGO game is a great way to practise and consolidate vocabulary from my rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl'.A round of BINGO also improves children's focus, skills of observation, listening skills and ability to play by a set of rules.It can be played as a class or in small groups with a quizmaster.I have included a set of picture/word cards for the quizmaster to draw at random. If you print two sets, they can also be used as a game of pairs too.If someone gets three pictures in a row, they shout LINE!If they get all nine pictures, they shout BINGO!I like to embed each word in a sentence so that the children are exposed to as much language as possible. E.g. I can see Mum on a run. Look! It's Little Jean. Learning English is not just about learning vocabulary.
