This popular game practises reading, speaking & listening out for key Christmas vocabulary from the rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl's Christmas in Devon', by Rachel Schmidlechner and Nadja Grace Bodner. The set includes 24 key words.How to play:1) shuffle the cards2) hand out one card to each pupil (some can have two cards if necessary)3) the child with the first card begins: "I have got the first card. Who has got Brown Owl?"4) The child with Brown Owl on their card carries on: "I have got Brown Owl. Who has got Christmas Eve?"and so it goes on until the last card is played.Once the children have got the hang of the game, they get faster and faster.
