This game functions as an icebreaker at the start of the school year, especially when students don’t know each other yet. The activity gives students the opportunity to get to know each other while speaking English.

Set up a long row of tables and ask students to sit down facing a partner. Within a set time, they ask each other questions and answer them. Then, the teacher gives a signal, and the students on one side move on to the next partner.

For each conversation partner, they note down one interesting or surprising piece of information, which they can later present to the whole class.
