Lesson focus: Speech analysis, fact-checking and internet safety.
Students study a selection of speeches and learn to analyse, fact-check and assess the speeches made by politicians in order to assess the quality of the speech and whether the speech and speaker should be trusted. The pack looks at how students can protect themselves from falling for bad actors.

Understanding ethos, pathos, and logos, as well as metaphor, simile, hyperbole, etc. Students analyse real world speeches.
