In Australien wurde ein Gesetz verabschiedet, das ab 2025 die Nutzung sozialer Medien für Jugendliche unter 16 Jahren verbietet. Es wird die Aufgabe der Plattformen sein, dafür zu sorgen, dass dieses Gesetz eingehalten wird. Länder wie Norwegen, Frankreich und GB überlegen ebenfalls, zum Schutz der Jugend, ein ähnliches Gesetz zu verabschieden. 

In einem Rollenspiel (Englisch) diskutieren die SuS darüber, ob ein Gesetz wie dieses auch in ihrem Land/ Deutschland eingeführt werden sollte.

Das Material enthält folgendes: 

• Rollenkarten: Enthält 5 Pro- und 5 Kontra-Rollenkarten, eine Karte für die Moderation.
• Beobachterkarten: 2 Karten für Beobachter*innen, um Feedback zu geben, 2 für Protokollant*innen.

Das Material ist ab Klasse 9 einsetzbar, gut auch in der Obestufe.

 In Australia, a law has been passed that will prohibit the use of social media for young people under the age of 16 starting in 2025. It will be the responsibility of the platforms to ensure that this law is enforced. Countries like Norway, France, and the UK are also considering passing a similar law to protect young people.    

In a role play, the students will discuss whether a law like this should also be introduced in their country/Germany.
