Ich freue mich, dass ihr euch entschieden habt, mein Lesetagebuch zu George Orwells "1984" zu nutzen. Dieses Material soll euch und euren Schüler*innen helfen, die komplexen Themen des Buches besser zu verstehen und zu diskutieren.

Ihr könnt das Lesetagebuch entweder als Ganzes verwenden, um den Schüler*innen während des Lesens Unterstützung zu bieten, oder ihr gebt einzelne Teile während des Lesens der jeweiligen Abschnitte des Buches aus.

• Enthalten sind 5 verschiedene Aufgaben zur Leseverständnis, die den Schüler*innen helfen, die Hauptinhalte und die gesellschaftlichen Strukturen in "1984" zu erfassen.
• 2 kreative Schreibaufgaben: ein "Tagebucheintrag" und ein "neues individuelles Ende".
• Vielfältige Aufgaben, die den Schüler*innen helfen, einen Überblick über die Themen des Romans zu bekommen.
• Eine Aufgabe, die den Charakter von Julia untersucht, die eine der positivsten Figuren in der Geschichte ist.

Ich habe dieses umfangreiche Material erstellt, um den Schüler*innen zu helfen, die zentralen Themen des Romans zu erkennen und ein umfassenderes Verständnis des Buches zu entwickeln. So können sie die Geschichte besser genießen, als wenn sie allein mit dem schweren Stoff und der düsteren Stimmung des Romans gelassen werden.

Ich erinnere mich, als ich das Buch zum ersten Mal gelesen habe, war ich sehr betroffen und fühlte mich während der gesamten Lektüre deprimiert. Daher möchte ich euch die Möglichkeit geben, offene Diskussionen über die gesellschaftlichen Strukturen, die Rolle der Gefühle im Roman und in unserer Gesellschaft sowie die persönlichen Reaktionen der Schüler*innen auf die Regeln in der Welt von "1984" zu führen.

Ich hoffe, ihr habt Freude daran, das Material zu nutzen. Feedback ist immer willkommen, auch konstruktive Kritik! Ich bin stets offen für Verbesserungen.

Hellooo dear colleagues - I'm happy you have decided to use my 1984 reading report and I really hope to support your classes while using it. 

You may use the reading report as a whole, given out to the students for a "while reading support" (for instance while reading it at home during the summer break)

- or -

you may also choose to give out bits of the material while the students are reading the respective sections of the book.

There are included: 5 different reading comprehension tasks, 2 creative writing tasks (a "diary entry" and a "new individual ending"), a lot of tasks to help the students get an overview, catching the gist of the novel and the structures of the society in 1984 and one task exploring the character of Julia (who has the most uplifting part of the story).

I have made this very extensive material to help my students identify the most important issues as depicted in the novel and give them an all in all more broad comprehension of the book. Therefore they will hopefully be able to enjoy the novel more than if you leave them alone with the rather heavy material and the dark mood of the novel.
