These printable Montessori family themed math activities are great for an all about me theme or back to school unit. Finding engaging homeschool activities and games for your toddler or preschoolers can be overwhelming. But with this set of family themed math activities it will be easy to do fun learning activities! Just use small manipulatives or counters, such as family puppets, bears or colored animals.

There are 3 activities included in this set:

1. Sorting by color
2. Easy Patterning
3. Counting

Also included are instructions on how to use and prepare these activities.

Sorting by color

Level 1:

Students place their small manipulatives on top of colored houses. Each house is cut apart and spread across the work space.

Level 2:

Students place their small manipulative on top of colored boxes or circles. There are 3 or more colors on one activity strip.

Easy Patterning

Students use activity strips to create AB-patterns. They can place their manipulatives on top of the colored circles and use blank strips to extend the pattern or make their own.

Counting

Level 1:

Students use the activity strips to count the numbers 1-10 and place their manipulatives on the colored circles.

Level 2:

Students use the template with the house and pick a number task card. They represent their number with the manipulatives. Numbers 1-20 are included.

There are also blank cards included to make your own extensions.

Level 3:

Students use the activity strips for hands-on addition or subraction.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

To use these activities you will need some sort of small colored manipulative such as bears, people or animals in the colors blue, green, yellow, red, purple and orange. These are not included in the digital download.

WHY I CREATED THIS TODDLER MATH ACTIVITIES?

I created these toddler math activities to homeschool my daughter with Down Syndrome and visual impairments. She was interested in learning, but needed a little more guidance to be succesful in her learning. When we used these activity stips, I noticed a HUGE growth in focus and attention. She learned to work independently on a task and LOVED working with these!

NOTE:

These interactive books were originally created in Dutch, therefor this file is created on European A4 paper size. Make sure to put your printer settings on ensure fit, if you print on a letter size paper.
