Encourage children to look at their surroundings with this Brown Owl's spotter's list!
Spotter's lists also introduce new vocabulary and can stimulate conversation which leads to acquistion of new knowledge, e.g. This blossom is white. What kind of tree is it? Where can we look for ladybirds? Do all birds sing the same?
This activity can be done around your school or home. All you need is to print the sheet and take a pencil with you. If you spot something on the list, tick it off/cross it out/circle it.
How many objects can you find? Can you find the TOP SPOT? (in this case it's a ladybird).
Extra: Colour the objects exactly as you find them.
N.B. Use the version without the written word to teach other languages too!
I hope you have fun learning English with Brown Owl!
P.S. Brown Owl is the main character in my rhyming picture book series ‚Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl‘. For more information visit www.readandrhyme.at
