This game is great fun, highly motivating and helps to consolidate autumn vocabulary. It also improves reading, listening and speaking skills.

How to play:

1) Shuffle all 24 cards.

2) Deal all cards to pupils in the class. Differentiation: some children get two cards. 

3) The player with the first card starts: "I have got the first card. Who has got the acorn?"

4) The child with the acorn is up next: "I have got the acorn. Who has got the apples?"

5) The child with the apples on their card carries on.

6) The game is over when the last card is played.

Variation:

Time the children each time they play and see how fast they can get.
