This game is a good post reading activity of the book Pete’s big lunch. The cards are put on the pitch upside down. The counters and a stamp are put on the pitch as well. Furthermore, each students needs a worksheet for the stamps and a dice.
Students throw the dice and move their counters. If the counter stops on a field with the sandwich, students have to take a card and say the sentence "I add...(an egg)". They can use the Help list. After that, students are allowed
to put a stamp on their worksheets. They go on playing like that until the worksheet is full of stamps. This player is the winner.
From time to time students have to shuffle the cards. If the counter lands on the field with the dice, the student may roll the dice again. Landing on a crossed out counter, the player has to miss a turn.
