Flashcards: use the flash cards to introduce the vocabulary. You can create many games with them, such as scavenger’s hunts or matching the labels with the images.
Matching pairs: students can also play with these small flashcards. You can have a game with two students matching the labels and images, but they can also use those cards to play a memory game in pairs or small groups.
Reading comprehension: students read the text and answer the questions. It’s always a good idea to have students highlight the key words in the text
Back to back dictation: (see instructions on next page) it helps students interact with each other. An opportunity to practice pronunciation and intonation.
Creating questions: students write questions and ask their partners. This is a free practice activity that helps students use the daily routine vocabulary.
Present to the class: students use the language in a real-life context.
Order the paragraphs: to practice the target language in a dynamic way. Students can work in pairs or small group.
Conversation strips: useful for student-student interaction and to practice the target language in this learning unit.
