Descripción

This resource includes a board with 30 numbers and 30 cards featuring images related to Easter.

An interactive version is also provided for play on electronic devices.

This game can be played in two ways:

  1. Traditional board game: Using counters and dice, students take turns rolling the dice and placing their counters on the corresponding square. They then select a card and either say the word or use it in a sentence. The first player to reach square number 30 wins.
  2. Adapted “Kaboom” game: For this version, you will need popsicle sticks, permanent markers or stickers to write the numbers and words, a timer, and a container (such as a pencil pot, glass, cup, or small bucket). Write the numbers and words on the popsicle sticks or stick the words onto them, then place all the sticks into the container.

The game can be played in pairs or teams. Each student takes turns drawing a stick from the container and either saying the word or using it in a sentence. To make the game more exciting, you can add the following special words:

  • “Kaboom” or “Boom”: The student must return all their collected sticks to the container.
  • “Super Kaboom” or “Boom”: Both teams must return all their sticks to the container, and the game starts again.
  • “Steal 1”: The student can steal a stick from the opposing team.
  • “Exchange”: Both teams swap one stick.
  • “Bonus”: The team keeps the stick and takes another turn to draw a new one.
  • “Miss a turn”: The team must skip their next turn.

The winner is the team or player with the most sticks when the timer runs out.

To add a level of challenge, you can also tally the points based on the numbers written on the sticks. The winner will be the team with the highest score.
