This is a really fun game! The idea is to work on vocabulary related to pets and farm animals. First you put the page with all the animals inside a flat tray and cover it with sand, rice, cornmeal or something similar. You place the deck of cards upside down. Then one of the children takes a card and asks his/her friends ‘Where is the pig hidden?’ and taking turns the rest of the children must use their fingers to move whatever is covering the animals and try to find that specific one.

Extra! You can use the flashcards to play so many other games! For example giving small groups the set of flashcards and asking them to spread them around. Then you say ‘Show me the horse!’ and they must pick up the correct card. You can play this in a competitive way or not. Just choose according to your students’ learning style!
