• boring drills will become more fascinating if you add bright visual aids. Students can discuss different topics using necessary grammar patterns in pairs or mini groups with the subsequent feedback or they can make up dialogues;
• different activities and games:
  
  Sorting game. Divide children into teams, deal hedgehogs between them (e.g. only am, is, are or was, were. It depends on grammar and vocabulary you study). Throw «the food stuff» on the floor and ask students to find all necessary pronouns («treats»). Variation. Put fruits and vegetables in a circle on the floor (or table) and a spinner or a plastic bottle in the center, put hedgehogs apart. Children take turns to spin a spinner, take a fruit, put it to the correct hedgehog and make a sentence using target grammar and vocabulary.
  
  Hide and seek. Hide the food, set the time limit, make children find all the treats and feed the hedgehogs. Remind them that they like eating different things. You may play this game outside at the park or playground. Kids will love it!
  
  Basketball. This game is ace for drilling questions and short answers. You will need a basketball hoop or a simple box and a ball. Place hedgehogs in a row, then a step away from them fruits and vegetables randomly and one more step away add cards from the topic you study (emotions, action verbs, clothes, food, animals etc). Students take turns one by one to make steps towards the basket (like in real basketball game) asking questions.
  
  Fishing. Deal the aquariums between students and ask them "to catch" the fish from “the lake”. Don't forget to warn the fishermen that all fish cannot live together in the same aquarium, otherwise they may eat each other (e.g.: policeman in the aquarium “he”, cat - in “it”). You can make the process even more fun adding toy fishing rods with magnets. Just attach paper clips to the fish and put them on a blue blanket, swimming, and enjoy fishing!
