The following material contains informational text on several aspects of the USA. Included are the following: 

• general information
• historical outline
• big cities
• geographical and regional studies

The informational texts are suitable for grades 7 and up. The students are to answer 13 comprehension exercises in which they have to use information gathered in the text as well as additional help from an atlas. The students are encouraged to think outside the box and use their already gained knowledge on this topic.
