This fun and ready-to-use PowerPoint game is perfect as a competitive introduction to the grammar aspect "comparatives". No preparation needed - just project the slides and start playing!
📝 How It Works
The presentation includes 15 prompts and vocab input for each question.
Students work in pairs and try to write the same answer to prompts beginning with “Name something that…”. They aren't allowed to discuss their answers!
If both partners match, their team scores a point! 🏆
At the end, three slides are included that shift the students' focus from the game to the grammar aspect of comparatives. With the help of the game prompts, the students should discover that there are two ways to form the comparative.
Please note: A detailed explanation of the grammar is NOT included. This game is intented to serve as an awareness-raisingactivityand a transition to the new grammar.
Duration: Around 20 - 30 minutes
