This material is perfect for introducing children to some common superstitions while practicing the first conditional. The whole thing is disguised as a running dictation.
First, print out the sentence endings, laminate them, and hang them up in the classroom. The children then receive the worksheet with the sentence beginnings. They must now find the appropriate endings, memorize them, and copy them onto their worksheet. Then there are three more vocabulary exercises to practice even more vocabulary related to superstitions. Amongst others, the words "lucky charm, ladybug, horseshoe, four-leaf clover, zodiac signs, cursed, voodoo, fortune teller," and many more are included. Solutions are, of course, included as well :-)
