Reading comprehension is the ability to understand what is read, both in terms of the meaning of words that make up a text, and the meaning inside and outside the total argument.

It is a cognitive process of interaction between a reader and a text with the objective of learning new knowledge or verifying what one already has.

The objective of this activity is for the reader to extract the meaning of each phrase and compare it with the reality of the image. Then, you must answer whether the phrase corresponds to the image or not.

Reading comprehension is a more complex process than identifying words. It is a basic skill, a cognitive task that involves great complexity, since the reader must not only extract information from the text, but must also interpret it based on their previous knowledge.

This notebook aims to make the task of reading and understanding fun and easy, using short sentences and using three different types of letters (uppercase, lowercase and linked) that adapt to the different levels that readers may have.

I recommend starting the activity by analyzing the image, so we also work on oral expression, paying attention to all the details and then moving on to read each sentence.
