Brown Owl's Christmas - Bundle of Activities

Simon Says is a really popular game among young learners. It gets them moving, gets them out of their seats and is fun.Furthermore it improves concentration and listening skills, and the actions help them to remember the language.This set of cards focusses on Christmas vocabulary and activities.Rules of the game:If you say SIMON SAYS at the beginning of the sentence, children carry out the action. If you don't say SIMON SAYS, they should stand still. Anyone who does the action when they shouldn't, is out. I usually play a few practice rounds before enforcing this last rule.How to play:LEVEL 1 - single word levelSIMON SAYS you are a present / Father Christmas  / a present / a star etc.N.B. Don't read the sentences on the card. Just use the pictures and say the basic sentence: You are a ...LEVEL 2 - sentence levelUse the cards in this set and read the sentences. It also improves reading, listening and speaking skills.How to play:1) Shuffle all 24 cards.2) Deal all cards to pupils in the class. Differentiation: some children get two cards. 3) The player with the first card starts: "I have got the first card. Who has got the reindeer?"4) The child with the reindeer is up next: "I have got the reindeer. How fast can your partner/the children guess the word? The first to guess wins the card.N.B.
