As a pedagogue with experience in kindergarten, primary school and after-school programs in Germany, I have learned how important it is to support children in a holistic way and to keep their joy for learning alive. For me, education is more than knowledge, it is about curiosity, creativity and discovering together.
In after-school settings I often saw how valuable creative impulses can be. Afternoons can be tiring, homework needs to be done and learning goals still matter. With the right ideas, however, children can be motivated again and discover learning in a playful way. This is why I began creating materials that make learning fun and help to strengthen what has already been taught.
My first project is called “Math with Monsters ”. It is not about difficult calculations but about the very first steps of getting to know numbers. The worksheets are designed to explore each number one by one, because I often experienced that children rush through tasks without fully understanding the basics. By focusing on each number separately, children are encouraged to slow down and truly connect with what they are learning.
With Halloween coming up, I am also planning seasonal worksheets that add a little spooky fun to the learning process. Children love when learning is connected to the seasons and everyday life, and I believe this creates even more motivation.
Now that I live in Denmark, I am excited to share my resources here on Eduki, both in German and in English. My materials are designed to be child-friendly, creative, colorful and accessible. I especially enjoy creating seasonal content that requires more preparation but always pays off in the joy and excitement of the children.
This is only the beginning. I am already looking forward to developing more resources for subjects like science, religion, art and creative learning games, and to share them with you here.
